The end is almost here, “Gossip Girl” fans. After being rescheduled due to some coverage of the storm in New York City, The CW has officially set Dec. 17, 2012 as the series finale date for the Upper East Siders. TVLine reports that the title of the series finale is, aptly, “New York, I Love You XOXOX.” Read on for more info about the season finale, but first, check out the site at FoxyBingo, they have fun bingo games online that you can play. Like last season’s “One Tree Hill” series finale, the last episode will be preceded by an hour-long retrospective look back at “Gossip Girl’s” six seasons. As for the finale — we know that two wedding scenes were filmed (Chair and Derena, y’all!) though there’s no telling whether either of them were dream sequences. Penn Badgley was also spotted with his Season 1 buzz-cut, suggesting that there may be some new flashback scenes inserted in the finale. Additionally, several old favorites, including Taylor Momsen and Connor Paolo, were back on set for the final week of filming. What do you hope to see in the final episode?

 Spotted: Two fewer troublemakers on the Upper East Side. TVLine has learned exclusively that Gossip Girl is parting ways with Taylor Momsen (Jenny) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) for the next season. A source close to the show confirms that the two actresses will not be returning as series regulars for the CW soap’s upcoming fifth season, but added that both have been invited back on a guest star basis. The departures of Momsen and Szohr hardly come as a complete surprise. Momsen — who has made no secret of her desire to make music her primary focus — has appeared in only a handful of episodes this season. Similarly, Szohr’s alter ego has been given little to do save for a little eavesdropping and meddling here and there. What’s more, Vanessa recently revealed that she was leaving town to study abroad.

 Don’t count Taylor Momsen out yet. Despite reports that the 17-year-old actress was placed on an indefinite hiatus from the CW hit Gossip Girl after acting increasingly erratic, a source tells PEOPLE she’ll still be playing Jenny Humphrey.
The source says as Blake Lively and Leighton Meester’s characters went off to college, storylines – including the younger Momsen’s Jenny – have just been harder to set up. “They graduated high school … [and] they found that it was hard to put all of them in the same environment in a natural way,” says the source. “When you see Jenny they want her to be driving the story, not just hanging out with the mean girls back in high school.” And although Momsen has raised eyebrows with her behavior, including flashing the crowd during a concert with her band The Pretty Reckless last month, “this has nothing to do with her bad behavior or her music career,” says the source. “She’s still under contract and she’s still a part of the show.
